Women Teaching Women

Every month the women gather together on the 2nd Saturday (except June and July) for a few hours of shotgun sports and a whole lot of Hoot N'! Attendees, many of whom have never shot before, participate in a variety of shooting sports under the direction of our women NRA certified instructors. By the end of the day, most are hooked! 

Safety is first and foremost, followed by the bonds created by sharing the love of this sport with other women. 

How the Ladies Shoot N' Hoot Got Started

The Ladies Shoot N' Hoot was founded in 2008 by Colleen Gaskill and Kathy Kristy, who were the driving force of the women at North Forest Rod & Gun Club. Motivated by their love of shooting, the two were inspired to introduce this great sport to as many women as possible in a safe and fun environment. Sometimes with the right blend of passion, hard work, research, and determination, a little inspiration can go a long way.
